School of Health

The School of Health builds on Georgetown’s 170-year commitment to health and medicine, and advances the strong foundation established when its departments were housed in the former School of Nursing & Health Studies. It is one of two new schools (along with the School of Nursing) launched in 2022 to create new opportunities for growth and collaboration.

At the School of Health, faculty and students work collaboratively across disciplines to address human health and well being. We convene diverse perspectives—from science, health, medicine, policy, law, economics, and the humanities—to better understand urgent challenges, and to find solutions.

The School of Health embraces the Jesuit principles that shape the entire Georgetown community, including the pursuit of knowledge in service to the common good. Fueled by this commitment—and with crucial support from our donor community—we are educating students for careers in fields such as global health, health policy, public health, health education, medicine, physical therapy, scientific writing, consulting, health management, and more.
